Our eldest daughter (2 years) used to be a good sleeper. A few months back before the arrival of her new sibling she started waking up at night and crying, sometimes for hours. We tried everything but could not keep her content. After being exhausted and used all our resources we thought it would be a good idea to put her into bed with us just so that all of us get some rest in. Months passed and this bad habit continued. She then refused to sleep unless we slept with her in our bed. I wanted to move her back into her room and into her own bed, just like it was before. We struggled to get her out of our bed as she would wake up crying when she was moved or she would wake up during the night and then just end up in our bed again. Several nights I spent in her bed as I could not rest with her kicking and rolling next to me. We were so exhausted and with that became short tempered. I suggested to my husband that we should seriously do something drastic to rectify the situation as I cannot go on like this anymore. Between a toddler and a new born baby I was at my ends!
